Hello again, yoga community! I'm Nico, and I want to share with you the incredible experience we had during the photoshoot for our second collection of yoga mats: “Viva la Vida”.
Since 2016, at Namastecita, we've been documenting, in print and photographs, the happy, difficult, and memorable moments of our travels and family life. We deeply believe in the power of documentation: it allows us to relive what we've experienced, treasure what's important, and keep memories alive.
What happened during the session?
Our team and I are fully committed to this new collection, and we decided to collaborate with Fran of
April Road Studios . A perfectionist with a keen eye for detail, a master of composition, lighting, and sound. The connection was instant, and the result… simply extraordinary. Fran captured the essence of our mats with incredible quality, highlighting their designs, created by our dear friend Vero Castaño, and showcasing the soul behind our project in every image.
It has to be said, this guy is a genius, and the connection was instant, and the result was incredible photos that highlight the design and quality of our mats, with their spectacular yoga designs, conceived by
Vero Castaño.
The most epic moment of the day
To demonstrate the functionality of the mats, we did what we love most: put them to the test. Four professionals, including myself!, participated in an intense, real, and heartfelt practice session. I'll say it: I always dreamed of having professional photos taken with our mats, and that dream finally came true.
Meet the professionals
-
Vicky (@wearehona) : What a wonderful, cheerful person! She's one of the founders of We are Hona ! Lucía (my business partner and collaborator) actually met this beautiful person in her classes at Casa del Moviment in Barcelona. Between photos, we listened to her lovely story. She's originally from Buenos Aires and now plays the harmonium. Her positive energy and deep connection with the photographer enriched the session.

-
Laura (@laura.travelyoga) : Originally from Girona, she lives on the beach and is a person who radiates tranquility, with an incredible smile, and a talent for yoga that left us speechless. We can't wait to go and practice yoga with her in Platja d'Aro.

-
Veny (@venanciosilva_) : ballet dancer, occasional yogi, and probably the most charismatic Brazilian you'll ever meet. Deep gaze, huge smile, and a presence that transforms everything.

Guided by Vicky, we shared a beautiful practice in the warm studio of Palm Bella House, in the heart of Poblenou, Barcelona.
As I mentioned before, part of our culture focuses on documenting what we experience as soon as it happens, so as not to forget the incredible people who accompanied us, the sensations we experience, the relationships we forge, and how we lived each experience.
The Viva La Vida collection is now part of our brand's DNA and another member of our family.
About Namastecita's Viva la Vida collection:
Each mat in this collection is inspired by a Coldplay song, translated into design thanks to the artistic work of Vero Castaño. Each mat represents a different emotion and intention to accompany your practice.
This turquoise design evokes calm and expansiveness, ideal for mindfulness practices and deep concentration sessions. Made of natural rubber and eco-polyurethane, it offers outstanding grip and a smooth surface, designed for those seeking a stable and mindful practice.
Inspired by inner connection, this mat incorporates visual elements that promote alignment and balance. Its cosmic aesthetic and central line help maintain proper posture, making it an excellent ally for both beginner and advanced yogis.
This is the most vibrant mat in the collection. Its design combines beauty and functionality, adding visual dynamism without sacrificing precise alignment. It's ideal for creative practices and more fluid yoga styles, offering a firm grip and eco-friendly materials.
Three designs, three experiences: dreams, connection, and color. Each mat is an invitation to practice with intention and to bring music to the mat in a symbolic and everyday way.
Reflections on the Growth of the Project
This third photoshoot is much more than a production: it's a symbol of everything we've learned and everything that's yet to come . We're thrilled to know that our mats are already accompanying the practice of hundreds of yogis, and we feel that this is just the beginning.
That's why we'll keep aiming for more :)
Because we are certain that what's to come is always better. And yet, looking back, we feel that although the path sometimes seemed winding, we moved in a straight line toward what we dreamed of.
In "Polvo de Estrellas" (Stardust), Jorge Drexler sings: " a life is worth what a sun is worth ." A simple phrase that I adore because it reminds me that, although there are so many of us on this planet, life gives us the opportunity to share unique moments with unique people. And that fills me with gratitude.
The brilliant mind behind this event.
Lucía, thank you for making this session possible. You took care of absolutely everything: finding the perfect location, inviting the right people, managing the photography, choosing the outfits (none other than
Shambhala !), and even rearranging everything when necessary. We all enjoyed it thanks to your dedication. That gratitude is what inspires me to write these lines today.
Thanks to you:
And to you who have made it this far, thank you !
